Reflection for the Second Quarter

Quarter 2, Accomplished

For this quarter, I had a lot of fun while learning how to code in HTML. I didn't had any grave problems in this quarter, although I find coding a new experience and it's definitely my first time doing so. In the whole quarter, I've used my ability to understand, learn, and adapt myself in coding. Moving on, I will carry on this knowledge with me as this is very useful especially in this generation.

Viva Vigan! Celebration 2022

Biguenos from all over the country and even abroad return to Vigan, as it is the custom of Filipinos to return to their hometown to join their family and friends in the celebration of their fiesta. They are joined by thousands of visitors from other parts of the Philippines and other countries in enjoying the cultural shows, parades and street dancing. There are also food fairs, arts and crafts exhibits, as well as a visiting carnival.

That’s how it usually works but not during this pandemic. Less people are assumed to join the celebration or worse, there could be no celebration at all. But even if the day is going to be a normal day, we shouldn’t forget that January 25th is our patron saint, St. Paul the Apostle’s conversion. We should at least prepare some food to celebrate with our own families. Celebrate it in a way where everyone is safe form the virus.

Activity no.3

What Could Happen in 365 Days?

Another year is about to end. 365 days spent to make memories in the pandemic. Doing our best to not get bored inside our houses. We may not have that much of an exciting year but we did our best while being safe. But we are not to worry because everything is going back to normal slowly.

New year, and a lot of people have already planned or are still planning out their new year’s resolution. It could be a big or just a simple goal.  You, your friends, family, everyone is trying to be their better self. This way, people are trying to set a goal that at the end of the year, they could be finally their new self or have accomplished their goals. Although people might plan a new year’s resolution, most of them actually doesn’t fulfill their resolution. There are about 365 days to forget of doing so and it is very common.

Other than making resolutions for the upcoming year, we are about to make new memories with people we love and people that we are about to meet, could be temporary people but the memories stay with us. Fun times, hard times, sad times, finding the better you alone or together with people that love and care about you.

2021 was an adventurous and a fun year for me. Things that I never expected to happen happened. Loving someone and getting the same amount of love back. Friends that will always be there at tough times, trying their best to draw a smile on your face. When you give full trust to someone but they just break it. A spontaneous adventure is what I’m looking for, it could be the same as 2021 before or even better than what I’ve wished for.

Activity no.2

Merry Christmas for Merry Filipinos

Christmas—whenever I hear this one specific word, I feel a longing, nostalgic feeling. Missing the past, missing my family, the past where once my family was whole and contented. But even all of these, my parents have raised me to be a grateful daughter. At the end of the day, everyone will have a smiley face drawn in their faces.

Everything started when I was younger but it just got worse when the pandemic came. The virus gave so many changes in our daily to yearly lifestyles and one of the big changes that occurred is the celebration of Christmas. It’s where we are supposed to have fun, be with your family again after a long year. Unfortunately we can’t do all these because of the continuous increase of covid cases. We are forced to stay at home and stay safe for our own good.

At the end of the day, we are Filipinos. We will always find ways to make everyone smile and happy even in the in the middle of a pandemic. This year may not have been the best but we did our best to make it like one.
